Peter Jacobsen 1 of 1

I worked with Peter Jacobsen on the improvational album "Eleven Years from Yesterday". He was an astounding musician who had a great sensitivy of touch and timing especially when playing contemporary improvised music i.e. Free Jazz. He was exceptionally modest about his talent and possessed a dark and wicked sense of humour. As a great friend of the Southend percussionist Trevor Taylor he cooperated on many of his projects. During the recording of Eleven Years he changed the shape of the music in such a way that it added far more colours than could have been achieved with the original quartet of Trevor Taylor, Marcio Mattos, Phil Wachsmann and myself. He was far too young and far too talented to pass away so soon.
