David Azarian 1 of 2 Rob Scheps July 01, 03 My name is Rob Scheps. I'm a saxophonist from Portland, OR. When I lived in New York in the 1990's I had the pleasure of playing in David's quartet for a time.Our 1st date was at the Regatta Bar in Cambridge.During my tenure with David we also had enjoyable gigs in Belmont, MA ;The Blue Note in New York City ; CAV in Providence; and a memorable 3 night stand at La Ve Lee in Los Angeles,CA. There was a rhythmic flexibility and a joy about the music.One of David's pieces, "Hope " was so beautiful that I performed it on some of my own gigs. I send my sincere condolences to his family. He was unique & shall be missed.
