Gus Statiras 1 of 3
Ken Dryden May 06, 04
Before the stroke ended his career as a record dealer, Gus Statiras was likely to turn up at any jazz party or festival. I had a chance to talk with him at length during one event when one of his sons was ill and unable to help him. He was always full of great stories about musicians, particularly from the 1940s. I wish I had taped some of his monologues. He will be missed.
