Two bits of information. I don't believe that Claude Williams recorded with Terence Holder in 1927, at least not under that name.

But more importantly, Claude Williams did record with Andy Kirk (and also John Williams) in 1929, and his death closes the 1920s. He was the last active jazz musician to have recorded before 1930, a fact that seems to have been missed by all the jazz magazines.

Even though the 1920s technically ended 75 years ago, I still hate to see that era come to a complete end.
