David Baker 1 of 2
Bill Bray October 07, 05
I knew David Baker from the late sixties in Atlanta before his move to New York to become engineer at Apostolic Studios. I was a teenage hippy with a penchant for guitar and songwriting. I sent him a demo tape at Apostolic and went to visit him there in 1969. He gave me expert right-on-the-money advice about my guitar-playing and songwriting. Thanks,in part, to his advice, I continued to study throughout my life and develop my skills. Both my songwriting and guitar playing have given me great satisfaction. I just wanted to state that it's people like David with a perfect ear and a brilliant mind that make artists shine. We miss you, man.
