Jack Montrose 1 of 2

Montrose was one of the numerous white saxophone players who made the West Coast scene what it was, elegant, swinging and non-belligerent. Too bad, that flowering was short-lived and has been dead for a long time. It would behoove todays players to get as many Montrose recordings as possible and listen carefully what a non-screecher, real player sounded like. Gerry Frederics
