Mr.Todd S. Jenkins, In your epitaph about the late John Hicks, you didn't mencioned is best CD "Power Trio", recorded in 1990, for the BMG label, with Cecil McBee on bass and Elvin Jones on drums. This record, for me is a landmark, on jazz trios and "DukeŽs Place" And "Chelsea Bridge", are some of the best performances I ever heard. Speaking with Mr. Hicks five years ago, in the Azores islands, he was there playing with Frank Morgan, at the Angrajazz Festival, he told me that this was is most beloved record.
