Britt Woodman 1 of 3

Britt Woodman played in my big band in Los Angeles in the seventies and eghties. He was a great person and a top trombonist. He told me one of the greatest compliments I ever had, following a gig at Hollywood's FILTHY McNASTY'S night club, where every Monday, I introduced my new charts, and had sections of the big band improvise atonally, and sometimes the whole band (21 players) improvise together, conducting them and leading a totally improvised "overture," - "YOU REMIND ME OF THE OLD MAN" - I said "Who is that?" just to make sure. He said "Duke." I will always love him for that. Tommy Vig
