The Bear Comes Home 1 of 1
Dan Pliskow May 02, 04 The Bear Comes Home is easily one of the best books I have read. It reads and tells the story of the Jazz Music Biz in an honest, truthful way that easily follows my fifty-two bass playing years making a living as a Jazz player. I have given this book as a gift to a dozen people and half admitted they couldn't deal with a bear as a character and didn't read it. I find it to be the only writing I've encountered that accurately spells out what it feels like on the band stand from the players view of playing Jazz, his dealings with the other players, the audience and his horn. It's right on the money and I loved it. Dan Pliskow
