Abe Most was a swing clarinettist who was best known for his work with bandleaders Les Brown and Tommy Dorsey. He led his own groups in New York City, and later earned his living as a studio musician for 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles, where he worked with Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Henry Mancini. He often played in tribute bands to Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman.

He is survived by his wife, Gussie; three children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother, saxophonist Sam Most.
