Bill Brunskill contributed to the development of New Orleans-style jazz in Britain. Although he was never a professional musician, he was part of the 1950s revival led by Ken Colyer, Chris Barber and others.
His first instrument wa sguitar, but he switched to trumpet. He led his own band in London until 1971, and occasionally toured and recorded.
