Redding

Noel Redding (born David Redding) was best known as the guitarist hastily converted to bass player in the Jimi Hendrix Experience, with drummer Mitch Mitchell. He was featured on three seminal albums with Hendrix, Are You Experienced? (1967), Axis: Bold as Love (1968) and Electric Ladyland (1968).

Before joining Hendrix, he had been a member of the Modern Jazz Group, and The Loving Kind. He went on to play with the rock band Fat Mattress, and formed his own Noel Redding Band.
