Alvergous 'Doc' Pittman was a blues player, singer, story teller and entertainer, and was known for his zany comedy. He originally played guitar, but in later years turned to cocktail drum. His long standing musical partnership with bassist, entertainer and dancer Jimmy 'The Face' Butts began in 1936, and was ongoing until his death.
