Lucille Rollins, the wife of saxophonist Sonny Rollins, died on November 27, 2004, at their home in Germantown, New York. She was 76 years old.

Mrs. Rollins graduated from Ball State University in 1949. She met Sonny Rollins a few years later, and the couple married in 1957. In 1971 Lucille became her husband's business manager. She had her own professional and scientific interests as well, working as an administrative assistant in the physics departments of the University of Chicago and New York University.
