A wonderful holiday to all!

Please join us for the last of the NY Chapter JJA's four-part fall "Jazz Matters" panel discussion series -- "Visually Sound: Perspectives on Jazz Photography." This slide show presentation and discussion takes place on Wednesday, December 17th from 6-8PM at the New School University Jazz and Contemporary Music Program, located at 55 West 13th Street in the 5th floor performance space. As always, this event is free.

"Visually Sound: Perspectives on Jazz Photography" features a panel of distinguished New York-based JJA affiliated jazz photojournalists including John Abbott, Enid Farber, Norm Harris, R. Andrew Lepley, Gene Martin, and others TBA.

In conjunction with slide show presentations of their imagery, guests discuss how and why they document the music, different approaches to onstage versus studio shots, and their aesthetic sensibilities in capturing the spirit of this invisible art form through the musicians that create it. JJA pres. Howard Mandel moderates.

For further information about this event, please contact Howard Mandel at hman at jazzhouse.org or visit the JJA website at www.jazzhouse.org.
