[jja-announce] call for Ten Best lists

Hi members -- 

just like the subject line says, the JJA is now requesting your Ten Best of 
the Year records for posting at Jazzhouse.org -- turn it in however you've done 
it for your publication, yourself, whoever, with or without descriptions, in 
order or not, whatever -- 

send it to me, by return e-mail (hman at jazzhouse.org) and your recommendations 
will be posted tout suite.

And advance word: the Jazz Matters panel in NYC on December 19 features the 
slide shows and discussion of photographers art by three of NYC's finest -- 
Enid Farber, R. Andrew Lepley, and Gene Martin -- and maybe more. As usual, at 
the New School, 55 W. 13th St., 5th floor performance space,  6 to 8 pm and 
free. The NY JJA Chapter encourages all other chapters to emulate this 
presentation, and invite local jazz photographers to talk about what they do, why and how 
to document music, the invisible art.
