Happy new year, JJA! Hope you had a great holiday season, and here's looking
forward to a great year ahead for all of us.

Back to business for Jazz Notes: my next copy deadline is **February 1**.

As usual, any comments, queries, letters to the editor, etc., are more than
welcome.
