Just a reminder that, as a JJA member, you're invited to participate in
an online forum one week from today to air your views on the topic of
racism and jazz, and more specifically, racism and jazz journalism.
If you haven't already read Willard Jenkins' column in the new issue of
JazzNotes, and Howard Mandel's comments on the racism and jazz panel at
this year's IAJE, I urge you to do so.
On March 22, from 8 to 11 p.m., Eastern, the online forum at
JazzHouse.org will be open for your comments and discussion with other
JJA members.
To participate, you simply have to log on to JazzHouse.org and follow
the link to the forum. A high-speed connection is not necessary.
Your password, and more detailed instructions, will be e-mailed to you
later this week.
Hope to see you there.
James Hale
Managing Editor, JazzHouse.org
