[jja-announce] Calling all bloggers: "New Media -- New Paradigm, or Novelty?"

Hi all (especially NY-NJ-CT members), 

The JJA's next "Jazz Matters" is all about new media -- blogs, podcasts, 
ArtistShare -- and whether/how jazz journalists need to respond in new ways to 
current means of disseminating and documenting the music. Panelists are Brian 
Camelio (ArtistShare), D.D. Jackson (pianist-composer-podcaster-blogger-Down Beat 
columnist-ArtistShare/Justin Time recording artist), Lois Gilbert 
(JazzCorner.com), Tad Hendrickson (CMJ, Amazon, Request, Jazziz, Time Out, and moderator 
at IAJE of a similar panel). I'll moderate.

The JJA will revisit this topic at IAJE, as well. But for those of you in NYC 
on Wed. 10/19, please come to the New School Jazz and Contemporary Music 
performance space, 55 W. 13th St., 5th floor; no admission charge; 6 to 8 p.m. -- 
lively discussion and JJA networking; students and industry associates 
invited, too.
