Hi everyone -- 

please cast your vote, if you haven't already, in the 10th annual JJA Jazz 
Awards -- deadline is midnight May 1. The ballot is posted here: 
http://www.jazzhouse.org/vote/ . One to a customer, full professional JJA members only 
(sorry, support members -- you are able to reserve tix to the B.B. King's and later 
LA events at members' prices, though). The usual uname/psword combo (jja/buzz 
all lower case).

The B.B. King's event on June 19 is coming along, planning wise -- tix for 
JJA members are $75, for the gen'l public $200. There will be a JJA members 
meeting on Wednesday, June 21, mid-day, probably at the New School Jazz 
performance space; details tba. 

The JJA's West Coast Jazz Party, produced by Fred Jung, will be mid=summer at 
the Pasadena Museum of Art; other details tba. 

The JJA is negotiating to produce enhancement programs -- panel discussion, 
mostly -- at the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, and the 
Tanglewood Jazz Festival; if you are planning to attend these fests already, or 
have other leads or interests as a member-producer in setting up similar panels 
at fests or concerts near you, please get in touch with me --

powerful celebration of music, musicians and music   journalists as the 10th 
anniversary of the Jazz Awards,
