Buddy Collette, Kamau Daaood, Vinny Golia, Terri Hinte, Ginni Mancini, Ken 
Poston and Poncho Sanchez are guests of honor at the 3rd Annual Jazz Journalists 
Association's Los Angeles Jazz Awards next Sunday, July 30outdoors at the 
Pasadena Museum of California Art (490 E. Union Street, Pasadena, CA), as new 
inductees of the JJA'S "A Team" OF activists, advocates, altruists, aiders and 
abettors of jazz.

It's going to be a fun party, with several of the JJA's most esteemed West 
Coast members as presenters of the Awards, with performances by vocalist 
extraordinaire Dwight Trible's group, the JJA's own journalist-guitarist (and also 
bi-urban, LA and Houston) Mark Towns' Latin Jazz, and the estimable 
drummer-composer Harris Eisenstadt's ensemble. . . food and open bar included in advance 
tickets of $25 (it'll be $50 at the door) available via charge card at 
Jazzhouse.org, website of the JJA, a non-profit international international 
organization of writers, broadcasters, photographers and new media perofessionals 
covering jazz in all its forms.
