[jja-announce] spam filters vs. registering at members.jazzjournalists.org

Hey JJA members --

If you use a spam filter, please change it immediately so that you can
receive emails from the multiple new Jazz Journalists Association member
management accounts. You must be able to receive mail from BOTH
http://JJA.camp8.org <http://jja.camp8.org/> AND
any emails from addresses at @jazzjournalists.org

The long-time JJA member mailing list-- jja_announce at jazzhouse.org-- will be
shut down very soon. It will replaced by more flexible email lists managed
at the addresses above.

BUT: If you have not reset your spam filters to accept mail from the
addresses above, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO REACH YOU AT ALL.

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT RESPOND TO SPAM FILTERS THAT REQUIRE US TO VALIDATE
INDIVIDUALLY BY FILLING OUT A FORM. We have already had a number of
"bouncebacks" from active member accounts with such filters installed. (Most
seem to be Earthlink accounts.) If you don't reconfigure your filters to
accept the addresses above YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER EMAILS FROM THE
JJA.

Also, if you haven't done so already, please go to
http://members.jazzjournalists.org and complete your member profile. It's
easy! It's fun! It's all about self-promotion, so put on your best
professional face, tell people who you are and what you do best of anyone,
and where they can see proof of it.

Thanks to the many members who've done this already. It's an impressive lot,
as you'll be able to see, because the membership directory is visible (to
the general public as well as registered JJA members) now (and remember, you
can revise your profile at any time) --

best, Howard & JJA Web admin
