SAVE THE DATE: Monday, September 24, 2007

21st Century Schizoid Music is a series curated by Frank Oteri devoted to

Program

Sonata for Piano and Violin (1932) by Frederick Piket (World Premiere)

Composed seventy-five years ago by Roberta’s father during his time in
Berlin (made brief by the Nazis’ rise to power) as a student of the great
Franz Schreker, this piece has never been performed in public.

Five Poems by Nabokov (the Nabokov Project) (2005) by Roberta Piket

Originally composed for a concert at Lotus Music and Dance in 2005, this
work for piano, violin, soprano and speaker blends neo-classical harmonic
concepts with lush melodies and free improvisational sections.

Roberta Piket Trio (works to be announced)

The second half of the concert will feature the Roberta Piket Trio with
music from their recently released CD, Love and Beauty, on Thirteenth Note
Records.
